Hi! My name is Sergio Fandos and I'm a Board certified medical and orthopedic massage therapist with almost 15 years of experience. A native of Pamplona, Spain I had it clear from the beginning that I wanted to pursue a career in the health care field. I've always been amazed at how marvelous and complex the human body can be. I graduated from the University of Navarra, Spain where I majored in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
While practicing soccer for over 20 years, I suffered first hand many of the usual sport injuries, such as sprained ankles or muscle tears, but it was my lower back pain that made me discover that therapeutic massage was more effective than the medication prescribed by my PCP. I soon realized that I wanted to become a Massage Therapist and make a difference in people’s lives.
I came to the United States in 2007 with my long-time girlfriend, who was looking to pursue her career as a Physician. We began our lives in the US in Pittsburgh, PA. It was the perfect opportunity to put my heart and soul into massage and bodywork. Soon I graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Sanford Brown Institute in Pittsburgh, PA and went on to become Nationally Certified (NCBTMB). Since then I gained valuable experience working in different settings helping many patients with a wide array of injuries.
My philosophy has always been that learning is a never-ending process, so I kept educating myself, becoming a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) and Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP), before moving to the Boston area in 2010, where I have since become a Certified Postural Analyst (CPA) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) , Certified Orthopedic Massage Practitioner (COMT), Certified Pre and Perinatal Massage Therapist (CPPMT) , Certified in Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (CMAT) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Board Certified Massage Therapist (BCMT) and Medical Massage Therapist (MMT). I also have attended some classes in different modalities such as Craniosacral Therapy and NeuroKinetic Therapy.
I enjoy working with athletes, helping them perform better and become pain free, as well as with people with chronic tension and pain unable to get long lasting relief with traditional medicine. Nobody should live in pain and it’s my commitment as Bodyworker to educate our patients in how to achieve that. No two patients are alike so understanding where they are coming from by listening to them plays a major role in the treatment process.
My hobbies include traveling around the world, watching and playing soccer, hiking, and spending time with my wife Mercedes and our 3 beautiful kids.
From training for an event like a Marathon or if you’re just hitting the gym a
couple of times a week your body needs a tune up to perform at its peak
and minimize the chances of injury.
If you’re working in front of the computer and at the end of the day your
neck or back is stiff, a massage will help you not lose flexibility and ROM in
the spine.
If you’re stressed out and need a break, massage will help you unwind and
calm down the nervous system
If you’re recovering from an Musculoskeletal injury, massage will be helpful
accelerating the process.
For all the wear and tear that life causes in our bodies, massage is the perfect self-care option.
You don't have to take my word for it. This is what the Mayo Clinic have to say about Massage Therapy:
“Massage therapy is safe and effective for people of all ages. It's not only a
feel-good way to indulge or pamper yourself. It's a powerful tool to help you
take charge of your health and well-being, whether you have a specific
health condition or are looking for a stress reliever.”
And this is from the Cleveland Clinic:
“A variety of studies suggest that Massage Therapy improves your immune
function, lessens pain and muscle tension, reduce stress and anxiety and
improves sleep”
And this from Eliud Kipchoge, probably the best Marathon runner ever:
“After a long run, I take an ice bath, have a massage, lunch and an
afternoon sleep”
Even people who are focused on the physical benefits say they feel less stressed after getting a massage.
You don’t have to choose the right type of Massage. At Eurohands, I’ll use the combination of modalities that will get you the results you’re looking for. I’m trained in:
An orthopedic massage is a form of massage therapy that centers on injury rehabilitation, and focuses on the tissue and muscles around the body's joints, also known as the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic massages are often used to aid recovery in treating any damage sustained to the body during injury, and is often used to improve the symptoms of conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis.
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a comprehensive program of soft tissue manipulation techniques that balance the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord and nerves) with the structure and form of the musculoskeletal system. This technique is based on neurological laws of how the central nervous system maintains homeostatic balance.
Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that uses slow strokes and firm pressure to target the inner layers of muscles and connective tissues. The goal is to release tension and tightness that can be chronic, such as from contracted areas or chronic aches and pain
Sports massage is a type of massage designed to help athletes before, during and after training or competition. Sports massage can help you to: increase flexibility. prevent injuries. improve performance.
Myofascial release therapy is a therapeutic approach that can be used to treat myofascial pain syndrome. It’s a hands-on technique that works to relax, lengthen and realign your fascia. The goal is to bring you pain relief, as well as give you back your full range of motion.
Prenatal massage is similar to regular massage – it aims to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. But prenatal massage is also customized to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and adjusting the techniques accordingly.
Swedish massage is often used to relax, relieve stress and relieve pain. Swedish massage often involves rubbing, kneading, stroking and tapping your muscles .

Your massage or bodywork session will take place in a private room. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort.
You will fill out a an intake form before or when you arrive. We'll discuss your health history and clarify your goals for the treatment. You will get instructions for how to get ready while I leave the room. After a minute or two I will return and ensure that everything is comfortable for you; temperature, lighting, music, etc.
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; You will be properly draped during the entire session. however, I completely understand those who do not feel comfortable and we can work on sports clothes or fully clothed so you feel comfortable no matter what.
Yes. The American Pregnancy Association says that women can begin massage at any point during the pregnancy, including the first trimester. We'll modify the position in the table to make comfortable and use techniques that are enjoyable and safe.
Most people feel very relaxed. You can expect to experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.
Massage and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage and bodywork is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being and alignment.
Yes. That’s why it’s imperative that, before you begin your session, the practitioner asks general health questions. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking.

Always terrific. I was long overdue and am moving with ease again!
A very clinical approach to massage. Targeted to the areas where I had issues incorporating so many techniques. Clearly very knowledgeable about how the body works. Effective massage and reasonably priced.
